The Canby Chamber of Commerce met on July 9th at 5:00PM at P.K. Egans. The meeting was called to order by President Diana Fliss. We discussed the banners that the Chamber is working on. The banners have been ordered and as soon as they arrive Chris and Florene will make out a map as to which poles we would like them on. This will be given to Chris Husby who has agreed to put them up for the City. The Arctic Blast sign for the trailer is completed. We now need to get this on the trailer and get the float running in some local parades to help promote our Winter event. A ribbon cutting has been set for Vick’s plumbing and heating for July 18th at the Chamber office. Chis will take care of the ribbon and the plant and whoever can, will meet at Florene’s office at 4PM for the ribbon cutting. A ribbon cutting will be done at Border City the same day as their open house. We will meet there at 4PM. Chris will do the ribbon and plant for this event also. We talked about the new members that we need for our board. We actually need 5 new board members. We will discuss this more at the next meeting. The next meeting will be at P.K.
