Annual Meeting

February 11^th, 2003

 

The annual meeting of the Canby Chamber of Commerce met at 5 PM on February 11^th with the following individuals present:  Diana Fliss, Pat Stanley, Al Fordyce, Christine Grussing, Don and Ellie Beman, Angie Groenhoff, Dave and Liz Verhelst, Larry and Ronda Duis and Derrick & Vanessa Ruether.

 

There was no secretary’s report.

 

The financial report was presented by Chair Fliss.  A comparison of actual to budget was provided and reviewed.

 

Chair Fliss introduced a motion to revise the by-laws under Article VI as follows:

The government of the Chamber, the direction of its work, and the control of its property shall be vested in a Board of Directors consisting of a minimum of five members and a maximum of eight members, one-half of whom shall be elected annually for a term of two years, and any member of the Board of Directors shall be eligible for reelection after their term expires.

A motion was made by Al and seconded by Pat.  The motion carried  unanimously.

 

New members appointed to the board were Jeff Harms, Angie Groenhoff and Derrick Ruether.

 

There was a discussion held regarding Arctic Blast and a review of the other events the Chamber sponsors/assists with during the year to include Hat Daze.

 

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
