Artic Blast
Medallion Hunt
Rules

A Medallion is hidden
somewhere in the greater Canby City area. The
Medallion is made of plastic to avoid the advantage of
metal-detection equipment. It is hidden on PUBLIC property,
is not submerged in water, and will NOT require digging,
climbing, cutting, hammering or any destructive means to
retrieve it or otherwise violating any laws. Please do not
intrude on private property or damage trees, shrubbery,
building or other public property during your search. The
Chamber Events Committee reserves the right to discontinue
the hunt at any time for any reason.

Medallion Hunt Clues will be
given out on the following days, times and places.
1st Clue
Monday, January 17, 2005 at the movie theatre after the
show.
2nd Clue
Tuesday, January 18, 2005 in the Canby News
3rd Clue
Friday, January 21, 2005 at the movie theatre after the
last show.
4th Clue
Saturday, January 22, 2005 at the movie theatre after
the last show.
5th Clue
Sunday, January 23, 2005 at the movie theatre after
the show.
6th clue
Monday, January 24, 2005 at the movie theatre after the
show.
7th clue
Tuesday, January 25, 2005 in the Canby News.
8th Clue
Friday, January 28, 2005 at the Chili Feed (at the
presentation of winners of Chili Feed).
All clues will be posted in the
Chamber Office window the morning after the clues are
released. Also on the Chamber web site at:
www.canbychamber.com and the Canby News web site at:
www.thecanbynews.com Every effort will be made to put
the clues on these web sites but, due to circumstances beyond
our control this may not always be possible. Clues will not
be read over the phone.

To participate in the hunt you
must read these rules. Anyone is eligible to join in the
hunt, except Canby Chamber Event’s committee and family.

To be eligible for the prize
of $150.00 in Canby bucks from the Canby Chamber Event’s
Committee, the finder of the Medallion must present the
Medallion to a designated representative of the Canby
chamber Event’s Committee by calling 223-5303 between the
hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. The finder
must present the Medallion. If the finder presents an Artic
Blast button the prize will be $300.00 in Canby bucks. The
finder will receive the prize at the Canby Artic Blast
Klondike Kate contest at DeToy’s Saturday evening during the
program. Any tax is the responsibility of the winner.

If the Medallion is not
presented to the designated representatives of the Canby
Chamber of Commerce Event’s Committee by
Saturday January 29, 2005 at 5:00 p.m. the committee
reserves the right to terminate the hunt and turn the prize
over to a charity of their choice.

The decisions of the Canby
Chamber Event’s Committee are final. The Canby Chamber of
Commerce, Canby of Chamber of Commerce events committee and
the City of Canby assume no responsibility for
accidents or injuries sustained by participants.
Participants are urged to sue reasonable safety precautions,
good sportsmanship, and well mannered conduct. All
applicable rules, laws, and regulations must be followed.
Violators may be disqualified and forfeit any claim to the
prize at the sole discretion of the Canby Chamber of
Commerce Events Committee.
